Teaser Blast & Giveaway: In the Shadow of a Valiant Moon by Stu Jones & Gareth Worthington!

[Cover Variations with original artwork by Justin Paul (Sony, Lionsgate)]

It Takes Death to Reach a Star
Publication: May 22nd, 2018

THE WORLD YOU KNOW IS DEAD. WE DID THIS TO OURSELVES.

The epidemic struck at the end of the Third World War. Fighting over oil, power, and religion, governments ignored the rise of an anti-bacterial-resistant plague. In just five years, the Earth was annihilated. Only one city survived—Etyom—a frozen hell-hole in northern Siberia, engulfed in endless conflict.

The year is 2251.

Two groups emerged from the ashes of the old world. Within the walled city of Lower Etyom dwell the Robusts—descendants of the poor who were immune to the New Black Death. Above them, in a metropolis of pristine platforms called Lillipads, live the Graciles—the progeny of the super-rich, bio-engineered to resist the plague.

Mila Solokoff is a Robust who trades information in a world where knowing too much can get you killed. Caught in a deal-gone-bad, she’s forced to take a high-risk job for a clandestine organization hell-bent on revolution.

Demitri Stasevich is a Gracile with a dark secret—a sickness that, if discovered, will get him Ax’d. His only relief is an illegal narcotic produced by the Robusts, and his only means of obtaining it is a journey to the arctic hell far below New Etyom.

Thrust together in the midst of a sinister plot that threatens all life above and below the cloud line, Mila and Demitri must master their demons and make a choice—one that will either salvage what’s left of the human race or doom it to extinction...

In the Shadow of a Valiant Moon
Publication: August 25th, 2020

DESTINY HAS NO ALLEGIANCE.

Four years have passed since the lillipads fell and Etyom slipped into darkness.

The New Black Death has mutated again, spreading to near epidemic proportions. What little order existed in Earth’s last city has disintegrated into chaos. Rippers roam the Vapid, robbing and leaving their victims butchered. The Robusts have spilled out of their broken enclaves and hide in any dark corner that will conceal them. Meanwhile, the elite Graciles, fallen from their pristine towers in the sky, have all mysteriously disappeared.

Demitri is a prisoner in his own mind. His demon, Vedmak—now known as the Vardøger—is manipulating Demitri’s body and knowledge to execute a secret plan far more disastrous than even the Gracile Leader dared.

Mila, her status among the fractured resistance elevated to that of Paladyn—a protector of the people—leads the fight against zealots intent on destroying what little remains of Etyom. It is a responsibility she never wanted, a calling that prevents her from doing what she truly desires.

Yet, Mila should be careful for what she longs. Caught between annihilation and loyalties that refuse to die, she must reconcile a single immutable truth: following your heart comes at a price.

Review: The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware

Title: The Woman in Cabin 10
Author: Ruth Ware
Publisher: Gallery/Scout Press
Published: July 19, 2016
Hardcover: 340 pgs

GoodReads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble

In this tightly wound story, Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. At first, Lo’s stay is nothing but pleasant: the cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. The problem? All passengers remain accounted for—and so, the ship sails on as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s desperate attempts to convey that something (or someone) has gone terribly, terribly wrong… With surprising twists and a setting that proves as uncomfortably claustrophobic as it is eerily beautiful, Ruth Ware offers up another intense read.

This is one of the first books I've read that was not recommended to me by someone I know and trust. I was in the library one day, saw this novel on one of their "Read Now!" shelves, and was hooked by the description. Who doesn't love a good mystery? Who wouldn't love an intriguing story with a cast of characters stuck on a cruise ship?

The only problem: there wasn't a great cast of characters. Now, don't get me wrong, there were a bunch of folks on the ship, but I feel like they weren't given any justice. When you're reading a great mystery (especially one that some reviews have compared to Agatha Christie's), you want to feel like every single person is a suspect. You want to get thrown off your game time and time again. Unfortunately, that's not what happened here. We met all of the characters, but there were really only two or three that stood out as actual suspects. I wish the author would have taken the time to flesh out the characters' stories more -- to make me believe they were the guilty ones.

Overall, the book had a good concept, but I don't think it was executed well. The mystery's resolution (which I won't tell you) was just unbelievable to me. I didn't actually believe that what happened in this book could actually occur in real life.

And finally, I'm all for flawed protagonists, but come on. Our main character, Lo, is jam packed with flaws. There are just so many that I feel like, in real life, if everything that happened in the book happened to her in real life, she'd be huddled in a corner crying. Not the kind of heroine I'm looking for.

This book has gotten rave reviews, and I'm sorry to be one of the few dissenters. But did you read the book? What did you think?

2 out of 5 stars.

Melting the Millionaire's Heart by Linda Morris -- Interview/giveaway (Adult)

Tell us a little about yourself and your latest/upcoming release.

Thanks so much for having me here at Good Choice Reading today. My latest release is a novella from Entangled called Melting the Millionaire's Heart. It's a funny, sexy, and sweet story about two strangers who end up snowed in together. (Snowed-in stories are some of my favorites -- there's something so romantic about the idea of having to spend time with someone that maybe you normally wouldn't, and then finding something to love about that person.) In Melting the Millionaire's Heart, the heroine, Kayla, has a bad attitude toward the millionaire whose estate she is traveling to when her car slides off the road in a snowstorm. Her boss has told her to kiss up to this unknown donor to encourage him to give money to the school for special-needs kids where she teaches. Based on past experience with other donors, she suspects the guy is probably a wealthy blowhard making a donation to the school for PR purposes. She's rescued by a handsome stranger, little dreaming that he is in fact the donor she's come to meet. He doesn't admit it, either, which leads to all sorts of complications as their attraction to one another grows!

Do you read reviews of your books? What do you do when you read a not-so-nice one?

I do read reviews, although I may have to revise that policy if I'm going to keep writing and preserve my sanity. This may sound nuts, but when I get a bad review, I look up bad reviews for books I love. It could be a recent romance I really enjoyed, an all-time keeper, or a classic by Austen or Dickens. No matter how much I adored the book, I can always find bad reviews for it. It's a good reminder that some people just want different things out of a book than I do, and that no book pleases everyone.

What's the one piece of technology you can't live without?

My laptop with Internet connection. I'm not actually all that fond of cell phones, and although I enjoy reading on my Kindle, I often still read print books too. But if I have to go too long without checking my favorite blogs, Goodreads, Twitter, and so on, I get a little itchy.

If you could choose one book cover to put on your wall as a poster, what would it be?

The cover for Melting the Millionaire's Heart, which was designed by my editor at Entangled, Heather Howland. Heather's covers have won numerous contests, and no wonder. She's awesome!

Do you have a book in your house that's just destroyed because you've read it so much?

I've been lugging around my favorite keepers from the late 80s/90s by Patricia Gaffney and Laura Kinsale for years -- I've reread them heavily and they're in pretty bad shape! I don't mind, though. A book so good that you read it again and again--what could be better than that?

How much of the characters are based on your traits or someone you know personally?

I wouldn't say any of my characters are based directly on myself or anyone I know, but most of my heroines start off somewhat less-than-confident, and that's true of me as well. I don't think I could relate to a brash, full-of-herself heroine who's always sure she's right.

How many times were you turned down form a book offer before you finally got published?

My first book, Forget-Me-Not, was bought by the third publisher I submitted it to. Most people think you never have to worry about rejections again after you're published, but that's not true. I wrote Melting the Millionaire's Heart specifically for an Entangled call for submissions, but other books I've written since being first published have been rejected multiple times. Your work has to be at a certain standard of quality to be publishable, but once you reach that threshold, it's really about getting your work on the right agent's or editor's desk at the right time. You need a little luck to go along with all your hard work to be a success.

What are you working on now?

I have a finished category contemporary romance that I'm shopping around now, and I'm working on a follow-up to Melting the Millionaire's Heart right now. It's Carolyn's story.

Can you share a teaser of your book with our readers?

Sure, here's a short scene when Kayla and Ryan have taken shelter together to ride out the storm. The power is out, so they're roasting some hot dogs and making s'mores over the fireplace:

A dimple appeared in his left cheek. Whoa, he was adorable. If her mother hadn’t raised her right, she’d be tempted to lean forward right now and explore that cute little indentation with the tip of her tongue. Maybe she would, later—she couldn’t rule it out.

She finished off her hot dog. Should she have another?

No, the s’mores beckoned. “I’ll do the honors for dessert. I’ll have you know I’m a s’mores expert.” She stuck a couple of big marshmallows on the end of her skewer and held them over the fire. The sonorous tones of the grandfather clock announced eleven o’clock.

“Really?” He leaned back on the hearth rug, propping himself up on his hands. The position showed off his long, leanly muscled thighs. “And where did you come by this expertise?”

“Years of relentless training in the Brownies and Girl Scouts.”

“Ah. Sounds grueling.”

“It was,” she said. “I made sacrifices and suffered a lot. In the end, it was worth it because I became a Jedi master of marshmallow toasting.”

“Do tell,” he said, his white teeth flashing in the firelight.

The sight gave her a pang somewhere very near her heart.

God, she really liked this guy.

Review - Forever My Girl by Heidi McLaughlin (adult)

Forever My Girl
By Heidi McLaughlin
Paperback, 220 pages
Published December 27th 2012
By Bandit Publishing Company

GoodReads † Amazon † BN
I was never supposed to be a rock star. I had my life all planned out for me. Play football in college. Go to the NFL. Marry my high school sweetheart and live happily ever after.

I broke both our hearts that day when I told her I was leaving. I was young. I made the right decision for me, but the wrong decision for us. I’ve poured my soul into my music, but I’ve never forgotten her. Her smell, her smile.

And now I’m going back.

After ten years.

I hope I can explain that after all this time.

I still want her to be my forever girl.

I love this story! This is one of those books you can pick up and be done with it four hours later, or maybe even less. It’s a super-fast read with everything you want in a contemporary romance. It’s filled with lots of emotions that you just can’t help but fall in love with Liam and root for him.

Liam is filled with regret and the way the author puts his feelings down on paper made him seem so real. I felt everything he felt as if I went through it all myself. I was an emotional mess while reading. He returns home to Beaumont after so many years to find that his life was there all along. Liam had so much waiting for him and he didn’t even know it. And once he figures everything out, he makes changes and doesn’t give up until he has the woman he loves, and the life he always wanted.

What I loved most about this read is that the author does not waste page after page explaining things, or dragging scenes out. She gets right to it and keeps the story moving. There was only one scene I wish would have been a bit different and made bigger than it was, but I can’t really share what that is without sharing a spoiler. It was something minor that I am sure readers will bypass and probably not agree with me. But I will say it wasn’t anything to ruin the story.

I was concerned about a love triangle, and some have even sent me private messages asking if there is a love triangle, and the answer is yes and no. I hate love triangles. I don’t think anyone in this world hates love triangles as much as I do. However, the one in Forever My Girl didn’t feel like a triangle to me. She wrote it so well and with a good outcome that it did not bug me one bit. I was happy with all the results and the way everything ended.

I rate Forever My Girl 4.5 stars. It’s a great start to a great series that I am looking forward to reading. A Good Choice for Reading!!

Review: The Prince by Tiffany Reisz (18+)

The Prince
By Tiffany Reisz
Paperback, 400 pages
Published November 20th 2012
by Mira Books

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer...preferably in bed. That's always been Kingsley Edge's strategy with his associate, the notorious New York dominatrix Nora Sutherlin. But with Nora away in Kentucky, now it's Kingsley's chance to take her place at the feet of the only man he's ever wanted -- Søren, Nora's on-again, off-again lover -- until a new threat from an old enemy forces him to confront his past.

Wes Railey is still the object of Nora's tamest yet most maddening fantasies, and the one man she can't forget. He's young. He's wonderful. He's also thoroughbred royalty and she's in "his" world now. But Nora is no simpering Southern belle, and her dream of fitting into Wesley's world is perpetually at odds with her dear Søren's relentlessly seductive pull.

Two worlds of wealth and passion call to her and whichever one Nora chooses, it will be the hardest decision she will ever have to make... unless someone makes it for her....

AMAZING!I know I am late with this review, but this installment was so good, I had to read the whole series all over again and then again the third time. Now back in book 1 The Siren, I was so not a fan of Soren, in fact I even wrote to Ms. Reisz expressing my dislike in him. But now after reading The Prince, I am in LOVE with Soren.

I loved how this book had 3 stories really going on at the same time even though they all tied into each other. You have Nora and her spending time with Westley under Soren's command. You see the feelings that are there on both sides and I could not help but wonder if Westley's side is where Nora needs to be. Then you have the story of Soren and Kingsley trying to solve who is out to hurt Nora and why. You see the bond these two men share even after all these years. And then you get my favorite parts of the book, the back story of how Soren and Kingsley met and what forged such a deep friendship.

It was in that past seeing who Soren was before he became a priest that made me fall in love with him. Even as a young man he command everyone around him. I just loved seeing Soren in his youth and the connection he makes with Kingsley, now some may see it as abuse or violence, but I took it for what it was. Both men wanted something and in exchange both men got what they needed.  You see that in Soren's whole life he has only ever loved two people and just what he would do to keep them both safe.

I really loved seeing how patient both Nora and Westley were with each other and the adjustment both have to make for Nora to fit into his world. The romance is there right from the moment Nora runs from Soren and into Westley's arms. Westley shows her the life she could have and everything he is willing to give up just to be with Nora.

Now through the story there are clues as to who the threat is to Nora. I found this to be a bit predictable, but loved it just the same. Even thought I knew the answer it still came as a shock when it jumped out on paper. Again Ms. Riesz left us with a cliffhanger that made me want to scream. I understand that the book needed to end there but who knows the The Mistress is due out????? Tiffany you are killing me here!

This was my favorite book out of the series so far, I have recommended it to everyone I know and can't wait to read the series again in the near future!

5 out of 5 stars

Guest Post/Giveaway with Elle James & Jessa Slade (18+)

The Movies in Our Minds: A Casting Call for Characters

Even though writing is obviously all about putting words on a blank page, a lot of writers talk about how sometimes the stories play out like movies in our heads. It’s fun to have pictures to refer to while writing. The right picture can conjure up scene ideas, help keep character descriptions consistent (what color were her eyes again?) and also be very inspiring -- especially pictures of the hot hero!

January’s Harlequin Nocturne Cravings has two intriguing couples: a witch and a cop from Elle James and a fairy and a cowboy from Jessa Slade. When Hollywood finally gets around to calling us, here’s who we’ll suggest to play our heroes and heroines:

Elle James (also writing as Myla Jackson): Casting for THE WITCH’S SEDUCTION

Deme Chattox is the oldest of the Chattox sisters, red-haired, tough and has an amazing amount of attitude. Of the five sister's her talent runs in the earth point of the pentagram. And she's been in love with Cal Black for a while, just afraid he will never understand or accept her for what she is...a witch. When looking for a red-haired actress to play this part, I was torn between a few different women. Emma Stone stood out. She looks good as a red-head, can be very sexy and has a ton of attitude. I think she'd play the part of the sexy, oldest of the Chattox sisters and has the ability to pull off the magical side of the role.

Cal Black is a dark, handsome, leather-clad cop with swagger. He's been assigned to work on the paranormal investigative team and work with his love Deme. Channing Tatum could play the part of Cal. He's sexy, muscular and could pull off a cop vibe easily. And wouldn't he look good in a leather jacket, astride a rumbling beast of a motorcycle?

Jessa Slade: Casting for A LITTLE NIGHT MUSE

Adelyn is a musetta, a delicate kind of fey creature, who reluctantly finds herself exiled to the wilds of Eastern Oregon in late winter. It’s a harsh place for her, but it also teaches her strength. I think Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone would make an excellent Adelyn. Not only does she have the otherworldly beauty, but her sometimes wary eyes and a sense of strength at her core fit the out-of-her-element Adelyn.

Josh Reimer has his ranch, his horse and his dog…as well as a deep loneliness in his heart and the hands of an artist. How lucky was I to find a picture of Aussie actor Simon Baker with a horse? If only the picture had Simon out of that stiff suit. Sigh. Josh favors snug denim (ahem) and warm flannel sheets. But don’t we all? ;)

Don’t you think the world needs more paranormal romance movies? We get plenty of explosions and monsters in our paranormal movies, but we need more kissing! Who would play your favorite romance hero? Leave a comment for a chance to win a print copy of WITCH'S INITIATION by Elle James and meet Deme and Cal for the first time, and the first ebook in Jessa Slade’s Steel Born series, DARK HUNTER’S TOUCH.

About the Authors:

Elle James aka Myla Jackson spent twenty years livin' and lovin' in South Texas, ranching horses, cattle, goats, ostriches and emus. A former IT professional, Elle is proud to be writing full-time, penning intrigues and paranormal adventures that keep her readers on the edge of their seats. She has 31 works with Harlequin, self published works under pen name Elle James, over 40 works with other publishers including Samhain, Elloras' Cave, Kensington and Avon and 18 works self-published under pen name Myla Jackson. Now living in northwest Arkansas, she isn't wrangling cattle, she's wrangling her muses, a malti-poo and yorkie. When she's not at her computer, she's traveling, out snow-skiing, boating, or riding her ATV, dreaming up new stories.

THE WITCH’S SEDUCTION
Elle James

Deme Chattox is eager to return home and start her new job on the Chicago PD's paranormal task force. As a witch, she's got special insight into the city's supernatural underworld. And as an added bonus, her partner is also her lover, Cal Black.

Deme can't wait to pick up where their off-the-charts chemistry left off, but she senses a change in Cal. Though the sex is hotter than ever, she doesn't need mystical powers to know there's something he's not telling her. Something that threatens their budding relationship, and their latest case…

Jessa Slade writes paranormal romance, urban fantasy romance, and science fiction romance. Basically, anything with woo-woo and woo-hoo! She lives in the Pacific Northwest where the rain rain rain rain keeps her at her computer all day and all night. Jessa can be found online in all the usual haunts:

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSE
Jessa Slade

Convicted of treason, Adelyn has been banished to the sunlit realm of humans—a fate worse than death for a musetta who exists only to inspire other phae. To reverse her exile, she must find a pair of lovers who have fled the court and return them to face the Queen's wrath. But once in the mortal realm, she meets a man who unveils her hidden desires…

When Josh Reimer discovers an ethereal beauty at a cabin near his ranch, he decides the neighborly thing to do is take her in. Adelyn inspires a passion unlike anything he's ever known and he vows not to lose the magic they've found together—even if that means she must choose between her home and their love.

Review: Slave by Sherri Hayes (18+)

Slave (Finding Anna #1)
By Sherri Hayes
Paperback, 276 pages
Published July 28th 2011
by The Writer's Coffee Shop Publishing House

Stephan has lived the lifestyle of a Dominant for five years. After several rebellious teenage years, it gave him the stability and control he had been seeking after his parent’s death. As president of a not-for-profit foundation, he knows what his future holds and what he wants out of life. All that changes when a simple lunch with his college friend and Mentor, Darren, leads him to buying a slave. Thrust into a situation he never thought he’d be in, Stephan can’t walk away. He is compelled to help this girl in the only way he knows how. Brianna knows only one thing, she is a slave. She has nothing. She is nothing. Can Stephan help Brianna realize that she is much more than just a Slave?

Every once and awhile you come across a book that touches you in a way you will never forget that book. This for me is such a book. I found once I started, I could not put it down. I was so drawn into the story of what Brianna went through and how she tries to cope yet still is in the mindset of being a slave and worth nothing. This is not your everyday love story but rather more a story of the journey Brianna takes to heal and how Stephan is there by her side to guide her and help her to become a normal your woman again.

Brianna was sold into sexual slavery at 17 years old. Given to a man so horrible he sees her as nothing but property, the abuse she suffer in the ten months she is with him, has scared her so much physically and emotionally. It is sad to think that there really are girls like this out there that suffer as Brianna did. I truly ached for her and all she feels. She simply has no way to function with old being told what to do or when, she has completely lost herself and any sanity in her mind.

Stephan is like an angel to Brianna and is her saving grace. While so attracted to Brianna he knows he can't have her the way he wants. She is so scared and timid, he uses her knowledge as a Dom to help her heal. It is evident early on that he cares deeply for Brianna, yet knows it can never work between them, as he says:
"Why did the first time I fell in love have to be with a woman who
may never be capable of loving me back."
He knows they have a long road ahead, but can Brianna every be normal again. Stephan knows the day will come he may have to let Brianna go but until then he will do whatever it takes to keep her with him and keep her safe. Even when it causes problems in his own family.

I loved the way the story was written from both points of view. I liked seeing inside both their minds. I was so drawn into this story and this series that I bought book two Need immediately upon finishing Slave. I had to know what happened next. Now it is killing me to have to wait for book three since Need ended with a major cliffhanger.

I can't recommend this book enough, an emotional journey of a young woman and her need to claim back her life with a man willing to do anything to help her get there.

Review: Black Ties and Lullabies by Jane Graves

Black Ties and Lullabies by Jane Graves
Mass Market Paperback, 400 pages
Published June 28th 2011 by Forever
Ages 18 and Over

A good girl can be bad for one night...

Bernadette Hogan doesn't make mistakes. Not when it comes to caring for her mother, and not at her job protecting Texas's most eligible—and infuriating—bachelor. Maybe that's why she's overcome with guilt after one tiny indiscretion: a passionate fling with her boss that's left her confused, intrigued...and pregnant.

but can a bad boy be good for a lifetime?

To self-made millionaire Jeremy Bridges, women are like fine wine: if held for too long, they sour. But one wild night with Bernadette changed all that. She makes him laugh, she makes him think, and soon she's going to make him a father. For the first time, Jeremy wants to be a one-woman man. So how can he convince the fiercely independent Bernadette he's ready to change from partying playboy to dependable dad—and become the loving husband she deserves?

I love this book! It's so entertaining and I was immediately hooked from the beginning to the end. I started it right before bed, and the next thing I know it was well past one in the morning and I still didn't want to put it down. I had to force myself to stop reading and get some sleep. I just got so lost in the story that I lost track of time.

I am so in love with Jeremy! At first you want to reach in the book and slap some sense into him. You feel for Bernie and can easily put yourself in her shoes. He can be arrogant and snarky, but when you read about his past and who he is today, you understand him. He grew up with nothing and everything he is today is because of how hard he pushed. Bernie was also a great character and honestly, her attitude reminded me of myself. She was me in so many ways and some of the decisions she had to make and the way she handled everything, would have been the same way I would have done it. I also think that the way Jeremy and Bernie handled their little situation was very respectable.

I am so happy I read Black Ties and Lullabies. It was so much fun to read and I am now a fan of Jane Graves and will be keeping an eye out for her other books. A Good Choice for Reading!

Review: Radiant Desire by Inara Scott

Paperback
Expected publication: October 2011 Entangled Publishing
AGES 18 AND OVER

The object of every man’s fantasy just lost her wings…

Kaia Verde is one of the four Faerie Handmaids of Zafira, Queen of the Fey. To redress an ancient wrong done to Zafira by a human king, the Handmaids make sport of mortal men, seducing and humiliating them. When Kaia sets out to seduce Garrett Jameson, but ends up being the one surrendering to pleasure, Zafira is furious. Kaia’s punishment is simple: make Garrett fall in love with her by the summer solstice, then break his heart, or face eternity without her wings—or her soul. To make the task harder, Zafira tells Kaia she cannot use her faerie magic or charm to lure Garrett into her bed.

…and now she’s losing her heart…

Kaia thinks her task will be relatively easy—as a faerie, she understands lust, and can love be much different? But once she is living among the humans, Kaia discovers the race she once disparaged is far more complex and beautiful than she imagined. She learns before she can break Garrett’s heart, she must find a way to heal it. And eventually, discovers that losing her wings may be a far easier price to pay than losing her heart.

Radiant Desire is the first book in Inara Scott's brand new series, Handmaids Seduction. I am a huge fan of Inara Scott's YA novel, The Candidates, that when I heard she had an adult series I was eager to get my hands on a copy. Thank goodness for Netgalley!

Radiant Desire starts off with Queen of the fey, Zafira, sending Kaia to the human world to seduce and bring to his knee's a human by the name Garrett. Kaia thinks this will be an easy task, but when she meets Garrett for the first time things are a lot harder than she had expected. It's almost as if Garrett can resist her charm. After working even harder towards her goal, Kaia finally gets what she wants and more. The handmaids are not supposed to get any pleasure out of what they do, nor are they supposed to feel anything towards any of the human males that they are sent out to seduce. And that is exactly what Kaia gets with Garrett. Not only did she allow him to pleasure her, but she also finds him very fascinating. Kaia’s world is quickly turned upside down and now because of her mistake a lot is at stake.

Garrett at times made me want to scream. He was a bit pushy and controlling, but at the same time you sort of understood him. He was protective of what was his and those he cared about. One minute I was so annoyed with him, and the next I just found him super sexy. I think I felt every emotion Kaia was feeling towards him LOL. Their relationship felt very real and throughout the whole book I was dying to know how it all played out. It remains a big mystery till almost the near end exactly why Zafira choose Garrett and why he was so important to her. It was a nice surprise. I think Inara Scott did a great job and she has created a world that you can easily get lost in. Other than the whole fey thing, some of the subjects that Scott touched on really do happen in the real world.

Radiant Desire will make you laugh, want to scream, and have your stomach full of butterflies. There's a little taste of everything for those who love romance. I really enjoyed this book and hope there will be more to come. It's a great beginning to a great series. A Good Choice for Reading!
