My Thoughts & Mini Review...
I loved the trailer! I think it fits the story perfectly!
I read FORBIDDEN a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it a lot! I
haven’t read anything like it. The world building was great, as well as
character development. I wasn’t too big on the romance at first, and I wasn’t
sure where things were leading, but I quickly fell in love right alongside
Jayden.
There are plenty of surprises, and action packed moments to keep
you turning the pages. FORBIDDEN took me by surprise to be completely honest. I
loved the cover, and decided to read it based on that (I don’t deny I am a cover
junkie), but what I ended up getting was way more than just a gorgeous cover. Little takes you on an adventure of forbidden romance, betrayal, survival, and beauty.
It’s a MUST-READ!
4.5 STARS!

She ran across the lawn as fast as her legs would carry her. She saw her mother standing with the driver of the town car, her father speaking with the driver of the rig. She ran right past them with only one goal in mind.

Right as he opened it, Harley fell into his arms and they both gasped on contact. His lips found hers; the kiss they gave each other was desperate, a gallows kiss, one that you poured every emotion into. He broke away, only to hold her as tight as he could as he buried his face in her hair, breathing her in, telling every sense he had to burn her even deeper into his mind.
“I love you, Harley. You’re safe. I’ll fix it.”
She was crying too hard to say a word. Clenching him, her nails dug into his back. Wyatt’s eyes were burning, and he squinted them closed, only to beg whoever was listening upstairs to stop this, to give him some kind of power to stop this.
He opened his eyes when he felt a presence spill into the room. Garrison Tatum was standing in the threshold of his doorway. Wyatt couldn’t read the look on his face; it was somewhere between fury and agony.
“I love you, Wyatt. Always, no matter what,” Harley was saying over and over between her desperate crying.
Wyatt leaned back, looked in her eyes, did his best to brush away the tears. “This is too real, too deep, too powerful for them to stop us. I love you.”

HERE'S WHERE YOUR STORY BEGINS!
SE Green: I crouch in the darkness, eyeing the alley. Two people climb from a car—one guy and one girl. They each already wear dark jeans and black hoodies.
The guy says something I can’t make out, and the girl nods. Then they both slip on black ski masks and gloves. They’re now dressed similar to me.
The girl slides a knife into a holder strapped to her thigh. The guy wedges a gun into the waist band of his pants. Together they take off down the alley. They get to the end, the girl goes right, and the guy goes left.
I step from the shadows. Which one do I follow?
Winner Christina: I decide on the girl, because they’ll most likely meet up again soon. And besides, if the guy does fire his gun, I should be able to keep track of him without too much trouble. Ahead of me, the girl’s clumsy footfalls are fading, and I remind myself not to fall too far behind. Before I’ve taken more than a few long strides in her direction, a guy’s voice, teasing, cuts through the dark.
“So, Slim, is this what you do every night?"
“So, Slim, is this what you do every night?"
Winner Sera: Zach steps out from an alcove, stopping me in my tracks. My eyes dart past him, but the girl’s already out of my sight. I take in a few deep breaths like I’m trying to catch my breath when really I just need a good excuse. The way the shadows of the night dance across his face he looks more like his brother, and I can’t help but blush. My breathing evens enough for me to whisper, “The real question is, why are you stalking me?”
Winner Rominana: I barely see his eyes, shrouded in darkness, glance over me.
"Tsk. Is that any way to greet an old friend?" He takes a step forward out of the shadows.
"Friends don't do what you did." I say as I watch him take another step closer to me. I glance around me hoping to find a way out and yet I can't help myself. I want to stay. I want to hear what he has to say.
Winner Sera: "How was I suppose to know Daisy was your sister before we even met? And then I tried asking you out, but you said no, remember," Zach says with the sexiest pout I've ever seen.
“I don't have time for this right now, and plus you’re with my sister now." I take off toward the park when I hear Zach call out, “You’ve got it all wrong, Lane.”
But I can’t waste anymore time on teenage drama because the guy and the girl are meeting back up, and I need to stop them before they kill again.

Foreplay was
everything I was hoping for and more. I was already in love with Sophie Jordan’s
YA series and when I learned she was writing a New Adult novel I got really
excited. I knew it was going to be just as romantic as her YA series only edgier
and sexier.
The blurb is true to the book. Pepper is a very conservative
person. She does everything according to plan and wants to live the life you
see in movies. Being in love with her best friend’s brother for years, Pepper
has missed out on a lot. Now she decides it’s time to go after what she wants,
and to make some changes.
It was a lot of fun reading her little adventures that leave
her all uncomfortable and feeling out of place. She had no idea what she was
doing, but she was not a quitter. She sets her sights on Reece and decides she
will use him to learn to be a little more open and loose. What she didn’t
expect was to get completely lost in Reece. Her plan quickly went from awesome
to oh boy.
I loved all the mystery behind Reece. From beginning to
middle you don’t really know if the rumors about Reece are true. He mostly
keeps to himself and the only time you see him around other women is at the
bar. He plays along with Pepper, but at the same time stays in control. He just
let things flow. Pepper finds herself confused near the end and doesn't know
what she wants anymore, or who she wants. Her life becomes one big ball of yarn
twisted and tangled. This is where I got nervous and thought that Sophie Jordan might
actually throw a curve-ball at her readers.
I also really liked the honesty between Pepper and Reece.
Everything was basically laid out on the table. There were one or two secrets,
but for the most part they were on the same page.
Pepper and Reece were just great together. I cannot stop
talking about this book because it’s just that awesome. Reece was super sexy
and I think what made him even sexier, again, was how mysterious he was. I
wanted to know more about him. I was so intrigued and wanted to discover all
his secrets. When I finally did my response was gosh, he is so damn sexy!
Sophie Jordan will always be one of my favorite authors.
Foreplay is a New
Adult novel and recommended for the ages eighteen and over.
